Overview

You can use the Form Designer to create the various forms for your processes. With the help of forms, users can enter data, send a request or make a decision.

Sections​

linqi builds the forms on the basis of 1 - 4 column sections. This column layout means that forms can also be used on mobile devices, as the different columns are displayed one below the other at lower resolutions.
To create a form, you must therefore insert one or more sections at the beginning. You can insert any number of control elements into a section.

If you click on the name of a section, you can change the name of the section. The name is displayed to the user and can be used to structure a form into different sections.
On the right-hand side of the sections, you can also use the following buttons to perform the following actions:

  • : This button allows you to change the order of the sections using drag'n'drop.
  • : This button allows you to adjust the properties of the section.
  • : You can use this button to delete the section again.

You can adjust the following properties using the Edit button:

  • Internal name: The internal name can be used to reference a section in rules. Unlike the normal name, the internal name is not displayed to the users.

Controls​

You can use the plus sign () to open the list of available controls and insert a new control into a section using drag'n'drop.
Each control element has the following actions available on the right-hand side:

  • : You can use this button to change the order of the controls using drag'n'drop or to move a control to another section.
  • : This button allows you to adjust the properties of the control element. Details can be found in the corresponding pages depending on the control type.
  • : This button copies the corresponding control element and inserts the copy below it.
  • : You can use this button to delete the control again.

Placeholder​

All controls that offer placeholder are available immediately after saving the form. Details on the placeholders for each control element can be found on the corresponding pages.
