Overview
Master data allows you to configure certain values or store data in a central location. This enables you to manage cross-process settings and data.
To open the master data management, select the Master Data item in the side navigation ( button in the navigation).
There you will find a list of the existing master data per tenant and can interact with them.
If no entry is selected, the following functions are available in the upper right corner:
- Add folder ():
This allows you to create a new folder. A folder is assigned a name and can then be used to organize the master data it contains.
If you have the appropriate permissions, you can also assign permissions at the folder level and thus restrict access to the contents. - Create master data ():
This button allows you to create a new entry. After clicking the button, you can select the type of the new entry.
If you select an entry, the following additional functions are available:
- Edit values () – only in the case of a lookup list:
This function allows you to view and edit the entries of a lookup list. - Edit master data ():
This allows you to edit the selected entry. - Move to folder ():
This function allows you to move the entry to another folder. Clicking this button opens a panel in which you can select the new target folder. - Assign tags ():
This button allows you to assign a tag to the entry. For example, you can tag related entries by topic to identify them more quickly.
Tags can also be used for filtering via the corresponding column. - Copy master data ():
This allows you to copy the selected entry. You can assign a new name to the entry beforehand.
In the case of a lookup list, the entries are copied as well. - Delete master data ():
This allows you to move the selected entry to the recycle bin.
