Advanced formatting options for texts are available to you in many places within linqi, e.g. when sending emails, document templates or within forms.
You can use the following functions via the buttons within the text editor:

  • Bold (, Ctrl+B):
    Changes the selected text, or newly entered text, to bold, or normal print if the text is already bold.
  • Italic (, Ctrl+I):
    Changes the selected text, or newly entered text, to italics or normal print if the text is already italics.
  • Underlined (, Ctrl+U):
    Underlines the selected text or newly entered text. If the text is already underlined, it will no longer be underlined.
  • Left-aligned ():
    Aligns the text flush left.
  • Centered ():
    Aligns the text centered.
  • Right-aligned ():
    Aligns the text to the right.
  • Justification ():
    Aligns the text as justified text.
  • Numbered list ():
    Inserts a new numbered bulleted list. If you want to insert a new bullet point, you can simply press Enter. However, if you want to insert a line break within the current bullet point, you must press Shift+Enter.
  • Bullet ():
    Inserts a new bullet point. If you want to insert a new bullet point, you can simply press Enter. However, if you want to insert a line break within the current bullet point, you must press Shift+Enter.
  • Large heading ():
    Marks the current line as a large heading.
  • Medium heading ():
    Marks the current line as the middle heading.
  • Small heading ():
    Marks the current line as a small heading.
  • Create link ():
    To insert a link, you must select a text area that you want to convert into a link. As soon as you click on this button, an area opens in which you can enter the link. In many places you can also insert a placeholder, e.g. to insert a dynamic link to the current process.
  • Remove link ():
    If the cursor is inside a link, you can remove it using this button.
  • Insert image ():
    Allows you to upload an image or insert an image via a link.
  • Remove formatting ():
    Removes the formatting (bold, italic...) of the selected text area.
  • Insert placeholder ():
    Allows you to insert a placeholder. You can use this to insert dynamic values that are resolved at the runtime of a process.
  • Insert expression ():
    Allows you to insert an expression. You can use this to insert dynamic values that are calculated at the runtime of a process.
  • Font color ():
    Changes the font color of the selected text, or newly entered text.
  • Background color ():
    Changes the background color of the selected text, or newly entered text. If you select a table cell, this changes the background color of the entire cell.
  • Font ():
    Changes the font of the selected text, or newly entered text.
  • Font size ():
    Changes the font size of the selected text, or newly entered text.
  • Insert table ():
    Allows you to insert a table. In the area that opens, you can specify how many rows and columns the table should initially have.

If the cursor is within a table, the following functions are also available:

  • Insert row after current one ():
    Inserts a new row below the row in which the cursor is located.
  • Insert row before the current one ():
    Inserts a new line above the line in which the cursor is located.
  • Insert repeating line after the current one ():
    Inserts a repeating line below the line in which the cursor is located. Here you can use a placeholder to reference a list of values (table value, data from third-party systems, etc.). This line is then repeated for each entry from this list. Within the line, you can insert the individual values of a line as placeholders.
  • Insert repeating line before the current one ():
    Inserts a repeating line below the line in which the cursor is located. Here you can use a placeholder to reference a list of values (table value, data from third-party systems, etc.).   • Delete row ():
    Deletes the current row of the table.
  • Insert column on the right ():
    Inserts a new column on the right.
  • Insert left column ():
    Inserts a new column on the left.
  • Delete column ():
    Deletes the current column.
  • Merge cells ():
    To do this, you must select several table cells. You can then merge them into one using this button.
  • Split cells ():
    To do this, you must select a table cell that has been merged. You can then split them again using this button.
  • Frame settings ():
    Opens a settings window to customize the frame of the table. You can set the style, color and thickness of the frame here. You can also deactivate the frame via the style.
  • Delete table ():
    Deletes the table in which the cursor is located.
