Overview

Using document templates, you can generate documents, for example, to create a certificate, an invoice, a letter, or a document to be stored in a third-party system. These templates can be exported to various formats using the corresponding actions (Generate PDF Export, Generate Word Export).
To create a new template or edit an existing one, you can open the list of available templates in the Process Designer using the following button:

A panel will then open in which you can create a new template as well as open an existing one.

Additionally, you can also copy a template here. This opens a new dialog where you can select the source process as well as the source template. The name below specifies the new name of the copy.
This way, you can also copy templates from other processes into the current process. In this case, placeholders referring to forms, variables, or actions are removed, as they are no longer valid in the new process.

Sections

linqi builds the templates based on 1- to 4-column sections. Thanks to this column layout, you can easily display values side by side, while maintaining a usability similar to the Form Designer.
To build a template, you must therefore insert one or more sections to begin with. You can insert any number of elements into a section. Additionally, you must provide a name, which allows you to reference the template in various places.

On the right side of the sections, the following actions are additionally available via these buttons:

  • : Using this button, you can change the order of the sections via drag and drop.
  • : This button allows you to adjust the properties of the section.
  • : With this button, you can delete the section.
