Data Table
Via the Data Table element, you can display the data of a lookup list as a table directly on the dashboard. This allows you to show, for example, master data or reference lists (such as material lists, persons, or status lists) directly on the dashboard without users having to open the list separately.
By default, a button is available in the table header that allows the table to be exported as an Excel or CSV file. This button is only displayed if the Dashboard table export feature is activated.
Configuration
Within the configuration, the following options are available:
- Title:
Enter the display name of the element here. This will be displayed to users so they know which control it is.
- List configuration:
In this section, you select the data source of the table.- Select list:
Select the lookup list from which the data for this table is loaded. The table then displays the entries of the selected list.
- Select list:
- Column configuration:
Here you define the columns that are displayed in the table. Use the Add column drop-down list to select the columns of the lookup list that should be displayed in the table. You can adjust the order by dragging and dropping. The following options are available per column:- Column width:
Determines how wide the column is displayed in the table (very small, small, normal, large, or very large). - Display name:
Overrides the display name of the column in the table header. This is helpful if, for example, a column named Internal_Name should have a different display name. - Format:
Determines the format of the column (default or link). If you select the format Link, the cell content is displayed as a link. - Link URL column:
If the format Link is selected, specify here which column contains the URL to which you want to link. - Disable in export:
The column is not included in table exports (Excel, CSV). This is helpful if a column is intended only for display in the application.
- Column width:
- Standard sorting:
Define here which column the table is sorted by by default and in which direction (ascending or descending). - Filter:
With filters, you can restrict the rows displayed in the table. Use the Add column drop-down list to define a column, an operator, and a value per filter row. The available operators depend on the data type of the column, e.g., is equal, not equal, greater than, or contains. Use the Combine filters setting to define how multiple filter conditions are combined (and or or). - Other:
The following additional options are available in this section:- Prohibit Excel export:
Prohibits the table export for this element. The button for the export is then not displayed in the table header. This can be helpful, for example, when confidential data is displayed in the table. - Standard page size:
Determines how many rows of the table are loaded by default.
- Prohibit Excel export:
Display on the dashboard
The table displays the entries of the selected lookup list. Each row shows one list entry with the configured column values. In addition, the following functions are available in the table header:
- Sort columns:
Users can sort the table by any column by clicking the column name. - Filter:
Users can additionally filter the table by any column via the filter field. - Views:
Users can save, update, rename, or delete individual views of the table (e.g., their own column and filter selection) and set a default view. - Export data:
Exports the table as an Excel or CSV file (if not prohibited and the Dashboard table export feature is activated).
