Process Table

Via the Process Table element, you can display running and completed processes as a table directly on the dashboard. This allows you to show users the current status of their own processes, or to provide a team or department with a kind of to-do list so that everyone can see at a glance what still needs to be worked on.

info

By default, a button is available in the table header that allows the table to be exported as an Excel file. This button is only displayed if the Dashboard table export feature is activated.

info

In addition, an AI summary of the respective process can be opened for each row. This button is only displayed if the AI process summary feature is activated.

Configuration

Within the configuration, the following options are available:

  • Title:
Enter the display name of the element here. This will be displayed to users so they know which control it is.
  • Selected processes:
Select the processes that should be displayed in the table here.
  • Column configuration:
Here you define the columns that are displayed in the table. Use the Add column button to insert new columns and adjust the order by dragging and dropping. The following options are available per column:
    • Column name:
The name that is displayed in the table header for this column.
    • Column value per process:
For each selected process, you define which value is displayed in this column. You can reference form control values, process values or process variables from the respective process. If multiple control values are selected, the most current value is always displayed. You can also leave the value blank if you do not want to display a value for a process.
    • Edit column settings:
Via the pencil icon, you can make the following settings per column:
      • Column width:
Determines how wide the column is displayed in the table (very small, small, normal, large, or very large).
      • Hide column:
The column is no longer displayed, but can still be used, for example, for filters.
      • Disable in export:
The column is not included in table exports (Excel). This is helpful if a column is intended only for display in the application.
      • Quick edit priority:
Determines whether and in which order the column is displayed in quick edit (low, medium, or high). If no priority is selected, the column does not appear. If no column in the table has a priority, the first columns of the table are used automatically.
  • Standard sorting:
Define here which column the table is sorted by by default and in which direction (ascending or descending).
  • Filter configuration:
If you do not specify any filters, users are shown all processes they have access to. With filters, you can restrict the displayed processes (e.g., to a specific status). Multiple filters are combined with and, meaning a process must meet all filter conditions to be displayed. The following configuration options are available per filter:
    • Select column:
Select the column whose contents should be filtered here.
    • Select operator:
Select the desired comparison operator of the filter.
    • Comparative value:
Enter the comparative value here. You can type a fixed value or insert a placeholder. If you want to allow multiple values, you can separate them with |.
  • Other:
The following additional options are available in this section:
    • Prohibit Excel export:
Prohibits the Excel export for this element. The button for the Excel export is then not displayed in the table header. This can be helpful, for example, when confidential data is displayed in the table.
    • Deactivate quick editing:
Deactivates quick editing for this element. Users are then no longer able to work on running processes from this table via quick editing.
    • Standard page size:
Determines how many rows of the table are loaded by default.

Display on the dashboard

The table displays one running process per row. The process can be opened by clicking in each row. In addition, the following functions are available in the table header:

  • Open quick editing:
Opens the quick edit view, in which the selected processes can be worked on at a glance (if not deactivated).
  • Export data to Excel:
Exports the table as an Excel file (if not prohibited and the Dashboard table export feature is activated).
  • Views:
Users can save individual views of the table (e.g., their own column and filter selection) and set a default view.
info

Only processes that the currently logged-in user has access to are displayed in the table.
