SAP

The SAP connection in linqi allows you to write data to a SAP Business One system. Currently, linqi only supports SAP Business One (SAP B1 Hana). This means, for example, that you can create new entries such as purchase orders or items directly in your SAP system from a process.

To be able to use SAP, you must activate the corresponding feature in the business unit management.

The prerequisite for accessing SAP Business One is the SAP Gateway, also known as the SAP Service Layer. It must be installed and activated in your SAP system. linqi communicates with the SAP system exclusively via the service layer (endpoint b1s/v1). Make sure that the gateway is enabled for the user name used by linqi.

Connection​

To be able to work with a SAP Business One system via the SAP actions in linqi, you must first create a corresponding connection in the connection management ( button in the navigation). In the connection list, you can use the plus button on the top right-hand side and then select SAP.

You have the following options in the connection settings:

  • Display name: The display name helps you to reuse the connection and can be freely assigned.
  • Url: Enter the url to your SAP system here. linqi appends the service layer endpoint b1s/v1 to this url and uses the result for all requests to the SAP system.
  • Company Database: Enter the name of the company database that linqi should log on to in your SAP system here.
  • Username: The username specifies the user with whom the SAP connection is established. This account must have access rights to the SAP system and be enabled for the SAP Gateway (Service Layer).
  • Password: The password is used to connect to SAP Business One. It is stored in encrypted form and only displayed in masked form in the UI.
  • Ignore SSL error: If you enable this option, all SSL errors will be ignored. This is only recommended if you are connecting to a test system and have no security concerns.
  • Authorized persons: You can optionally define here which persons are authorized to use this connection.

The entity that is worked with in SAP is not defined in the connection, but in each individual action. Details can be found in the SAP actions.
