SAP B1 Hana

The SAP B1 Hana actions in linqi allow you write data to a SAP Business One (SAP B1 Hana) system. Currently, creating new entries directly from the Process Designer is possible. This means, for example, that you can automatically create a purchase order with its line items in your SAP system.

To work with SAP B1 Hana actions, you must create a SAP connection and activate the corresponding feature. The SAP Gateway (SAP Service Layer) on the SAP system is also a prerequisite for the connection.

SAP B1 Create entry​

With this action you can create a new entry in an entity of SAP Business One. The following configuration options are available:

  • Connection: Select the SAP connection that linqi uses to log on to your SAP Business One system here. This determines the user context of the action in the external system.
  • Entity: Select here the entity in which the new entry is to be created. linqi automatically loads the available entities from your SAP system and makes them available in this dropdown.
  • Column assignment: Define here which values are to be written into the individual columns of the entity for the new entry. Select the Column whose value is to be set and then specify the Value. You can either enter a fixed value or use a placeholder. linqi only offers placeholders that match the data type of the column (e.g. numerical placeholders for numerical columns or date placeholders for date fields).
  • Subordinate entities: Subordinate entities are entities that belong to another entity. For example, you can create a purchase order that has multiple line items – these items are then subordinate entities of the purchase order. Use the Add child entity option to select which subordinate entities are to be created along with the entry. For each subordinate entity, you then define the values to be written in a separate column assignment.
  • Enable error output: As soon as you activate this toggle, the action can be given an error output. With this you can catch and process errors if an error occurs when accessing the SAP system.

Typical use cases are automatically creating purchase orders, sales orders or item master data directly from a linqi process – e.g. starting from a processed document or a completed process step.
