Anonymous Access

With Anonymous Access you can generate links that allow external persons to access a form in a process run without logging in. This allows you, for example, to ask external persons for feedback by e-mail, without them needing a linqi account.

To work with Anonymous Access you must activate the corresponding feature.

Example use cases are, for instance, requesting a quote from a service provider or collecting data from persons who are about to join the company.

With this action you generate a link that allows access to the next form in the current process run without logging in. This link can, for example, be sent by e-mail to an external person to receive feedback.

The generated link is always only valid for the next form. As soon as this form has been filled in and submitted, the link is no longer valid. In this way linqi ensures that an anonymous person cannot simply see an entire process, but exclusively the single form the link was intended for.

The following restrictions apply in addition when using an anonymous link:

  • A person selection field cannot be displayed on an anonymous form. To protect your data, a person drop-down is recommended instead.
  • Files cannot be downloaded in the file preview, to prevent them from being downloaded by anonymous persons.
  • If the action is located within a parallel process section, the link is only valid for forms in the strand in which the action was inserted. If a parallel section is started or ended, the link is no longer valid.

The following configuration option is available:

  • CSS file (optional):
    By specifying the link to a CSS file, the appearance of the application can be adapted when the generated link is opened. This allows you, for example, to adapt a form to the appearance of your own website.
