Publish process
A process that you create is not visible to users who do not have the necessary rights to design processes. After you have created and tested a process, you must first publish it.
You can do this using the following button in the process designer:
As soon as you publish a process, the current status is saved as a version. This is then used to start new processes. You can therefore continue to work on your process without people being affected by these changes. This means you do not have to worry about disrupting a running process when you make changes.
Only when you publish a new version will all subsequent processes be started with this new version. However, processes that have already been started run to completion with the version with which they were started. This is necessary to prevent a process from falling into an undefined state, e.g. because the form in which it is located is deleted in the new version.
Now publish the process. On this basis, we will build a dashboard for the users in the next step so that they can start a process and access the running processes.
