BPMN design

BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) 2.0 is a graphical specification language that is used to model and document business processes. In linqi, the BPMN 2.0 Designer is available for this purpose. It is part of the Process Designer and complements the executable process with a domain-oriented BPMN 2.0 representation.

To work with the BPMN 2.0 Designer, you must enable the BPMN 2.0 feature for the business unit.

BPMN Designer

The BPMN 2.0 Designer offers, among other things:

  • An element palette with the available BPMN 2.0 elements.
  • A canvas where you arrange the elements by drag and drop and connect them with sequence flows.
  • Quick modeling, which creates a process from a simple list of steps.
  • Automatic generation between the executable linqi process and the BPMN 2.0 model.
  • Links to embed and view the published BPMN 2.0 process.
  • A glossary with predefined elements.

The domain-oriented BPMN 2.0 representation is used to document the process. It has no effect on the executable process, which continues to be defined independently in the Process Designer.
