⭐️ Features

  • Improvement of the visual language: To improve the readability of the interface, especially within the Process Designer, we have replaced the icons. For example, it is now much easier to differentiate between the various actions within the Process Designer. This is also a preparation for the requirements of the European Accessibility Act (EAA), which will apply to most companies and organizations from June 2025. This is one of several minor adjustments to meet the legal requirements.

  • Design adjustments: Various design adjustments have been implemented to make it easier to get started. For example, the dashboards and the process designer now display a help text to make it easier to get started.

  • Number ranges: Number ranges have been implemented so that our customers can better customize the process numbers, but also generate their own numbers for invoices or similar. These can be created within the business unit administration and then referenced in the actions. This allows you to define sequential numbers with your own formats.

  • Dashboard Playlist: You can now create playlists within the dashboard. This allows you to automatically switch between different dashboards. This can help, for example, to run linqi on a status monitor.

  • PDF editing in the file upload control: Within the file upload control, it is now also possible to edit PDF files. This function is active by default, but can be deactivated within the configuration of the file upload control. The editing function itself is the same as that within the file preview control.

  • New process placeholders: The two new process placeholders “All persons with access” and “Persons with write permissions” now allow the corresponding persons to be queried.

  • Image compression: It is now possible to compress images via a new action. Here you can specify a compression strength, as well as a maximum size and width. A placeholder is then available for the compressed version of the image.
Note: You must activate the file functions feature in the business unit administration in order to be able to use these actions.

  • File Base64 Encoding: A new expression allows you to convert a file to a Base64 string. This advanced feature can help you to write a file to a database or send it to a web service.

  • GraphML Import: You can now import .graphml files as BPMN processes. This makes it even easier for you to integrate your existing processes into linqi.

  • Process validations: There are new validations within the process designer to prevent infinite loops, ensuring that your process runs through without any issues.

⭐️ Features

  • DATEV Connector: A new feature for the connection to DATEV has been implemented and rolled out for final acceptance. With this new feature, it will soon be possible to send documents to DATEV.
The final acceptance by DATEV must now be carried out. As soon as this has been carried out in the cloud environment, we will shortly be activating the DATEV connection for everyone.

  • Representative regulation: It is now possible to add substitution rules within the personal dashboard (click on the logo in the page navigation). This allows the deputy to edit all running processes or even start processes. This makes it particularly easy to hand over work to a holiday replacement, for example.

  • PDF editing: In order to be able to make minor adjustments to PDFs more quickly, it is now possible to activate the editing of PDF documents within the file preview control. For example, annotations can be made directly in PDF invoices.

  • Barcode generation: A new action now allows you to generate barcodes and QR codes. In this way you can, for example, insert a product EAN into a PDF or similar.
Note: You must activate the file functions feature in the business unit administration to be able to use these actions.

  • Read CSV file: You can now read CSV files via an action. In this way, it is possible, for example, to read a CSV file in a process and write it to a lookup list.
Note: You must activate the file functions feature in the business unit administration in order to be able to use these actions.

  • Rules in document templates: To make document templates more dynamic and also better align them with forms, it is possible to create rules within document templates. This allows you to show or hide elements.

  • Set date value expression: A new expression allows you to set parts of a date to a fixed value. For example, you can always specify the first of a month or similar.

  • Hiding table columns in forms: The table control in forms now allows you to hide columns. For example, you can fill one value per table row and then use it in a placeholder without showing it to the user.

  • Transfer search text to dashboard: Our customers have asked us to be able to open a dashboard via a link and transfer a search text directly. You can add the search text using the query parameter.

⭐️ Features

  • BPMN 2.0 process list: It is now possible to insert a new control element within dashboards that lists BPMN 2.0 processes. You can display metadata as well as filter via metadata. In this way, you can show users the different processes of a department, for example, or list processes with a very long runtime.
Note: This control element is only available if the BPMN 2.0 feature is activated.

  • BPMN 2.0 Designer extensions: The BPMN 2.0 Process Designer has been expanded so that you can develop BPMN 2.0 processes even faster and more conveniently. The context menu has been redesigned so that it stands out even better. In addition, it is now possible to use the context menu to insert elements not only below or above, but also between the element and the next one.

  • BPMN 2.0 process templates: Within the business unit settings, you can now define not just one BPMN 2.0 PDF export template, but several. For example, you can define a template for exporting in A3 format and a template in A4 format.

  • BPMN 2.0 process manual: The BPMN 2.0 process manual is now defined independently of the standard BPMN 2.0 PDF export templates. You can no longer select a Process definition placeholder. Instead, you can now select in the settings of a section that these are repeated for the processes. Within these sections, you can then use the same placeholders as within the BPMN 2.0 process templates. This change allows you to export the process manual with reduced information per process, for example.
Note: Existing process manual templates must be adapted, as the existing process definition placeholder is no longer functional.

  • BPMN 2.0 Process-related processes: To give you even more options for process control, you can now create one or more process-related processes within the business unit settings. These can be started at any time using the Process Designer. For example, you can define a process to notify people or to request a provisional release.

  • BPMN 2.0 Pool Milestones: In addition to lanes, you can now also insert milestones in pools within the BPMN 2.0 Process Designer. These are then displayed orthogonally to the lanes and can be used to emphasise certain process milestones.
Note: As these go beyond the normal BPMN 2.0 specification, they are not taken into account when exporting to the BPMN 2.0 XML format.

  • BPMN 2.0 PNG export: To make the BPMN 2.0 process visualisation even easier to use, an export to the PNG image format has been implemented. These images can be embedded directly in Word or other applications.

  • BPMN 2.0 direct link: In addition to the existing links for embedding a BPMN 2.0 process, you can now copy a read-only link in the process designer.

  • BPMN 2.0 quick modelling: BPMN 2.0 quick modelling now also creates a pool by default to make it easier to build a complex process on this basis.

  • BPMN 2.0 syntax check: The BPMN 2.0 syntax check has been extended to recognise possible infinite loops. It also ensures that a parallel gateway can be merged with a parallel gateway in a BPMN-compliant manner.

  • BPMN 2.0 standard elements: In addition to the standard elements for a new BPMN 2.0 process such as start node & pool, you can now also select start & end nodes in a pool in the business unit settings.

⭐️ Features

  • Dynamics CRM Connector: You can now create, update, delete or query Dynamics CRM entries. Four new process actions are available for this. The available entities are queried by Dynamics CRM so that users can easily click together the configuration.
Note: You must activate the Dynamics CRM Connector feature in the business unit administration to be able to use these actions.

  • Richtext customisations: You can now adjust the colour, font, font size etc. of individual text sections. It is now also possible to insert tables. This allows you to create more sophisticated e-mails or document templates, for example.

  • Repeating table rows: Within tables, you can insert repeating table rows, which are filled by placeholders. For example, you can now display data that has been retrieved from third-party systems or lookup lists as a table.

  • Advanced document templates: Within document templates, you can now also print individual sections in landscape format or define the background colour of sections. This allows you, for example, to highlight a footer in colour or output the BPMN 2.0 process representation in landscape format.

  • BPMN 2.0 export template: Within the BPMN 2.0 PDF export template, you can now use new placeholders to display a table with the elements of the process, including their metadata.

  • BPMN 2.0 pool customisations: If you now insert a new lane in a BPMN 2.0 pool, the pool will expand accordingly. You can also move the order of the lanes. This makes it even easier and more convenient to extend existing processes.

  • Input of date values via keyboard: The date control within forms now allows a date to be entered using the keyboard. To do this, users must click a second time in the field. This means that dates far in the past can be entered quickly.

⭐️ Features

  • Redo / Undo: Within the process designer, form designer, dashboard designer and template designer, you can now undo or redo actions you have performed. To do this, you can either use the corresponding buttons or Ctrl+Z or Ctrl+Y.

  • Time-controlled process start: You can now start a process on a time-controlled basis via a new action. For example, you can start a process once a day or on the 1st Monday of each month. You can determine for which persons a process is started.

  • Withdraw process publication: You can now withdraw a published process. If a process publication is withdrawn, this process can no longer be started. Time-controlled processes are also no longer triggered, etc.

  • Form preview: A preview function is now available to make the creation of forms even quicker and easier. This displays the form as people who execute the form will see it later. This allows you to test rules, for example.
Note: Placeholders are not resolved here as there is no reference to a running process.

  • Lookup lists file columns: Lookup lists now allow you to create a file column. In such a column, you can upload files or write via the corresponding actions.

  • More lookup list customisations: In addition to the new file type, it is now also possible to adjust the order of lookup list columns or copy rows. To simplify operation, the comparison value in the placeholder configuration has also been moved upwards.

  • Metadata aggregation fields: It is now possible to create an aggregation field for the process header metadata. These allow the values of metadata of the elements of the process to be added together, etc.
In this way, you can, for example, calculate the effort recorded for the individual elements to determine the total effort of a process.

  • Display metadata in process lists: The standard metadata fields in a business unit can now be displayed in the process list. For example, you can display the effort directly in the process overview.

  • Internal names for form controls and sections: In some cases, it happened that customers had multiple controls with the same name on a form or wanted to set up a rule for a section without a name. In this case, it was difficult to clearly identify the correct element in placeholders. We have now created a way to assign internal names to these elements. These names are not displayed to users, but are used to create placeholders or rules.

  • Multi-line text column in the table control: The table control in forms now allows you to create multi-line text columns to capture longer texts.

  • Pentest adjustments: Arnoldas Radisauskas from the NATO Cyber Security Centre has carried out a penetration test of linqi. The vulnerabilities found were closed in this update. The cloud environment is not affected by these vulnerabilities.

  • SharePoint Managed Metadata Selection: The SharePoint actions now allow you to select values for managed metadata fields via a corresponding dialogue. This makes it easier to select values, especially if there are duplicate entries with the same name.

  • Minor UX customisations: Various minor UX customisations have been implemented, such as grouping elements by sections and forms when creating form rules.

⭐️ Features

  • AI process summary: To speed up workflows, we have integrated an AI into linqi. The first step was to implement a summary of running processes. In this way, people can see the status of even complex processes at a glance within dashboards and thus quickly decide whether action is necessary on their part or not.
Note: Of course, we also pay attention to data protection when integrating AI. For this reason, all AI processes run on linqi's own servers with their own AI models, so that your data remains secure and is not passed on.
To activate this function, you must activate the AI process summary feature in business unit management.

  • Business unit management authorization role: You can now use the new security role business unit management to determine who has access to the business unit settings.
Note: You must assign this role to the people who have previously customized the business unit settings so that they can continue to do so.

  • Folders: In addition to tags, folders have been implemented as another way to organize your data. Persons with business unit administration rights can also assign authorizations here in order to set up a detailed authorization structure if necessary.

  • Process numbers: To make it even easier to reference processes, all processes now have a unique number for each business unit. This number can also be used as a placeholder, for example to customize export templates.

  • Order of form rules: You can now adjust the order of form rules using drag'n'drop. This is particularly helpful if you want to trigger a generally valid rule at the top and build up more specific rules below it.

  • Process metadata customization: As metadata is a valuable tool to capture and describe the data of your processes, new data types for metadata fields have been implemented. You can now create selection fields as well as number fields. In addition, you can now store help texts for metadata in order to provide users with assistance when completing the fields.

  • Performance optimization: We have improved the refresh rate of dashboards so that even large tables are kept up to date without any noticeable waiting time.

  • Document template adjustments: It is now possible to adjust the orientation (portrait or landscape format) and the sheet size (A1 - A5) of document templates.

  • Comparison of process metadata: The process comparison has been extended to display differences in metadata.

  • Search extensions: The last search queries are now saved and displayed within the various object lists. This allows you to find relevant entries quickly and easily. In addition, you can now also search BPMN 2.0 process nodes within the process list.

  • Double-click to open entries: For improved usability, it is now possible to open entries directly within the object lists by double-clicking on the name.

  • General BPMN 2.0 settings: Within the business unit settings, you can now determine whether the process or BPMN 2.0 Designer is used by default. In addition, it is also possible to define standard elements when creating a new BPMN 2.0 process, as well as to determine whether the process metadata must be queried directly.

  • BPMN 2.0 Glossary: Entries from the BPMN 2.0 Glossary are now used to provide suggestions within the BPMN 2.0 Designer when describing events, gateways or tasks. In addition, you can now drag entries from the BPMN 2.0 glossary directly into the process as a task via a side panel. In this way, standardized formulations are promoted.

  • Moving texts in the BPMN 2.0 Designer: It is now possible to move the labels of events, gateways etc.. To do this, you can simply move the labels using drag'n'drop.

  • Simplified editing of BPMN 2.0 pools: Pools now adapt to the content and grow automatically when new elements are moved or inserted. In addition, elements within a pool are also moved when the pool is moved.

  • Numbering of BPMN 2.0 elements: As some customers wanted to switch off BPMN 2.0 numbering, we have extended the business unit settings to allow you to switch this function on and off. You can also make further settings there, such as which elements should receive a number or the step size of the numbering.

  • BPMN 2.0 link event syntax check: The syntax check within the BPMN 2.0 Designer has been extended to check whether link events have a corresponding counterpart.

  • Upload of BPMN 2.0 definition into an existing process: Within the BPMN 2.0 Designer, you can now import a new BPMN 2.0 definition into an existing process via a corresponding file.

⭐️ Features

  • Table control: There was a recurring need to enter any number of table rows in forms. A new table control has been implemented for this purpose. You can now use this control to enter order items, times and much more, for example. In addition to entering new table rows, you can also use this control to select from existing elements such as a customer database.

  • Connection points: So that you can design processes even more clearly, it is now possible to insert breakpoints for connections in the process designer. All you have to do is click on an existing connection and move the connection point using drag'n'drop. This allows you to route connections around nodes, for example.

  • Copy elements: We are always interested in speeding up work with linqi and making it even more efficient. For this reason, we have implemented a function that allows you to copy control elements in forms, dashboards and document templates. For example, you can copy a process table and simply adjust the filters to display rejected processes next to a table with approved processes.

  • Word file generation: As documents are essential for a wide range of processes, we have expanded the document generation functions. You can now use the new Generate Word Export action to generate Word files as well as PDF files. These Word files are generated as usual on the basis of the existing document templates.

  • Vertical pools in BPMN: It is now possible to customize the alignment of pools within the BPMN Designer.

  • Exchange Connector: Assign categories: A function has been added to the Exchange Connector that allows you to add categories to emails and appointments. For example, you can mark emails that have been processed by linqi accordingly.

  • Throttling in HTTP request: The HTTP request function has been extended to automatically react to throttling and resend the request with a corresponding delay.

⭐️ Features

  • Custom user values: You can now create your own values within the global admin area. For example, you can save the department of a person or the address of the branch. These values can then of course be used as placeholders in a process.

  • Extension of the Azure AD integration: As many companies create guest accounts etc. in their Azure AD, the option to define a filter has been implemented. This allows you to exclude external accounts, for example, and only synchronise internal accounts.
In addition, you can now assign extended values of persons to the values you have created yourself in linqi. For example, the department can be automatically transferred from Azure.

  • Automatic licence assignment rules: You can now define rules in the global admin area to automatically assign licences to persons. This makes it possible to assign a licence to all persons in a specific group or on the basis of an email domain.

  • Numbering for BPMN process elements: BPMN process elements are now numbered automatically. This numbering can help to address specific elements.
Note: This numbering is not exported.

⭐️ Features

  • Process map: With the new dashboard control Process Map, you can now display a process map in linqi. This allows grouped and organised processes, as well as dashboards etc., to be displayed for users. It is also possible to link from map to map and thus implement a drill-down. It is also possible to copy a link in order to embed such a map on the intranet, for example.

  • Deletion of process instances: Various customers approached us with the request to delete running processes. This feature is now available for people with process designer rights. These deletions are displayed in the deletion log.
Note: If you want to deactivate these functions, you can switch them off in the business unit settings.

  • Deletion log: In order to better understand who deleted something and when, a deletion log has been implemented in the business unit settings. Deleted objects are listed here. The deletion of a process is final.

  • Process publishing processes: Within the business unit settings, it is now possible to define a process in linqi itself that is executed when a person wants to publish a process. For example, you can implement an approval process that must be run in order to publish a process.

  • Document processes: In addition to a process for publication, you can now also implement processes that can be executed for process documents. For example, you can implement document approval processes or a process to notify people of a new document.

  • Automatic process generation: A new feature now allows you to automatically generate a BPMN 2.0 process based on an executable process. In the same way, you can generate an executable process based on a BPMN 2.0 process. To do this, you can create a corresponding assignment of elements in the business unit settings.

  • Extension of the map functionality: The map functionality has been expanded so that you can now also dynamically insert markers using placeholders. For example, you can visualise company addresses or similar that were previously entered in a form or loaded from a third-party system.

  • BPMN 2.0 Glossary: You can now maintain a glossary within the business unit settings. This is used to support the user when entering risks by suggesting appropriate texts.

  • BPMN 2.0 risk management: You can now enter risks and their control via the metadata settings of an element in the BPMN 2.0 Designer. This allows you to carry out a process-orientated risk assessment.

  • Graphical version comparison: A graphical comparison for the different versions of a process has been implemented. This comparison highlights deleted, newly added or edited nodes in colour.

  • BPMN 2.0 process embedding: You can now copy a link to embed a BPMN 2.0 process in a third-party system. For example, you can embed various process definitions in the intranet.

  • Document full text search: PDF and Word files that are attached to a process definition can now also be searched via the process search. This allows you to find your processes more quickly and accurately and makes the documentation even more valuable.

  • Private business units: Business unit administrators can now allow users to independently create so-called private business units. Only the people themselves have access to these business units. They can therefore be used for evaluation purposes, for example, but also for the automation of various processes.

  • Usability improvements: The BPMN 2.0 Designer has been revised to improve usability and minimise the need for switching between BPMN and executable mode.

  • BPMN 2.0 XPDL Export & Import: linqi can now export and import processes in XPDL format. This makes it even easier to switch from different third-party systems to linqi.

⭐️ Features

  • linqi Maps: To enable you to implement even more interactive forms, we have implemented a new control Map. Using this control, people can set markers on maps and thus, for example, highlight customers, save information about road works or the position of a vehicle. To ensure that your data is secure, we have set up our own map service so that your data remains exclusively on our servers.
Note: If you want to use this feature OnPremise, you need your own map server.

  • BPMN 2.0 PDF Export: You can now export your BPMN 2.0 processes to PDF in order to be able to pass on a process definition quickly and easily. For this purpose, it is possible to generate a corresponding document template within the business unit setting.
In the course of this, the PDF system was also renewed in order to align the generated documents even better with the actual templates.

  • BPMN 2.0 Process Manual: If you create a document template for a BPMN 2.0 process manual, you can now export a BPMN 2.0 process manual via the process list. Here you can bundle different processes into one large PDF manual.

  • BPMN 2.0 Metadata Export: You can now export the metadata of a BPMN 2.0 process via the process list. In this way, you receive a CSV file that displays the metadata of the nodes. For example, you can run evaluations on the metadata of a process.

  • Query Lookup List Entry Sorting: The action Query Lookup List Entry now allows you to specify a column by which the queried entries are sorted.

  • Generate text file encoding: In order to be able to interact better with third-party systems, the action Generate text file has been adapted in such a way that it is now possible to select an encoding.
